Mary's is named in honour of Mary Walsh, an extraordinary woman with deep ties to both Ireland and Flanders. During World War I, many brave Irish soldiers, including some of Mary's relatives, fought alongside the Belgian people. Our main bar features a tribute to these 216 heroes from Kilkenny who are memorialised in Belgium.
