Our large central bar area is perfect for guests who just want to drop in for a drink or a bite and we have several large screen TV's placed around the room, making us the clear choice for anyone looking for somewhere to watch the days big sporting events live.
Mary's is a family friendly establishment and we welcome all (well behaved) children to our restaurant. Students are also welcome at Mary's and those who sign up for our student card will enjoy the benefits of getting 20% off their food and beer from just €1.70 a bottle. Diners will welcome our extensive menu of Belgian and Irish classics, ample drinks card and one of the largest range of whiskeys in the region. Naturally we provide full table service and our guests can choose from sitting in our main bar area, numerous alcoves (ideal for diners who prefer a bit more privacy) whilst large groups can take advantage of our Oscar Wild room, a more private area of the bar which is defined by it's huge central table, which can comfortably seat large groups of up to 18 guests per sitting.
We believe that these facilities already make us a stand out establishment, but our central feature is undoubtedly our lavish in-built concert hall. The Celtic Room is a full scale events hall, which regularly plays host to live music, karaoke evenings and a range of local talent. We have big plans for this space in the future and if you would be interested in performing or hosting an event with us, please reach out to us and we will happily discuss your proposal.
Visitors who want to see what events we have on the cards, can follow us on Facebook and follow our events calendar below. We organise regular entertainment, from quiz nights and karaoke evenings to parties and special whiskey tasting events. We hope to remain a lively venue which will give you a reason to drop in regularly.

A Céad Míle Fáilte to Mary’s
Mary Walsh, (for whom our establishment is named) was a countryside lady through and through. A rare and beautiful character, she married Denis Foley and together they had 12 children together. Mary's own mother, Cecilia, came from a family of 21 children, now that is an Irish family and a half!
As a family, we are very proud of the historical bonds which have formed a lasting friendship between the people of Ireland and Flanders. Indeed, during World War 1 there was no conscription in Ireland, so the vast majority of the 200,000 Irish soldiers were volunteers and amongst these brave souls were relatives of Mary. As a tribute to all these brave men and women, the centre piece of our main bar is a dedication to the 216 hero’s who are buried / memorialised in Belgium, from Mary’s hometown of Kilkenny.
Today many of Mary’s children and grandchildren live in Flanders. With the team in place and ambitious plans for the future, we look forward to continuing the Foley's tradition of bringing classic Irish craic to the good people of Belgium.
